- Ear Wax Removal provided by one of our expert practitioners for patients aged 18+.
- For children aged 12 – 17, please book an appointment at Microsuction Ear Wax Removal (Age 12 – 17)
- Some of our Audiologists are clinically vulnerable and may ask you to wear a type iiR mask and will provide one if required. We thank you for your cooperation
- We strongly recommend that you soften your ear wax with Earol spray, 2 squirts in each ear (optionally with the addition of 2 drops of glycerol), 4 times a day for at least 5 days prior to your appointment. If you want to use cotton wool to hold the oil in, first saturate the cotton wool in petroleum jelly (such as Vaseline), so the cotton wool doesn’t soak up all the Earol. Make sure you squirt the Earol over a sink until you see oil spray out in order to expel any air prior to application.
- Please carefully read our Terms and Conditions before booking.
IMPORTANT: Due to COVID-19 regulations, you need to complete a triage and consent form after you have booked. We cannot provide treatment without this form being completed. Please check your email, including Spam or Junk folders for your appointment confirmation email, which has a link to the form. Alternatively, go to https://www.hearingfirst.co.uk/my-account/orders/, view your order and click on the link.

Very happy, took a bit of time to get the wax blockage out, but kept going and it came out. A massive relief I can hear again.

Paid £50 for 1 ear, took less than 1 minute and hasn’t made the slightest bit of difference.

We’re sorry you feel this way. Sometimes the sensation of blockage is caused by a combination of factors. Wax may be one of them, but also Eustachian Tube Dysfunction (ETD) is a common factor amongst others. You can find an excellent article about ETD on our sister site here https://www.earwaxremoval.net/1856/ear-health/eustachian-tube-dysfunction-etd-how-to-treat-it/

Hi Shelley. Sorry wax removal didn’t make much difference for you. Although ear wax is the most common cause of a blocked ear sensation, it isn’t the only one. A blocked sensation can also be caused by fluid in the middle ear, which may be due to Eustachian Tube Dysfunction, allergy, a cough or cold, or even Covid. We have a great article on ETD and how to treat it on our sister site at https://www.earwaxremoval.net/1856/ear-health/eustachian-tube-dysfunction-etd-how-to-treat-it/

Jonathan was excellent – a painless procedure and hearing much improved. The only fly in the ointment was that the email the day before the appointment gave the wrong time for the appointment, so that I ended up waiting an extra hour.

Beth at your Tamworth centre was excellent and I can now hear again, thank you so much! My ears blocked suddenly on holiday rendering me quite deaf – such a relief that a simple procedure sorted things out. Highly recommend!

From the moment I walked in Faye was a model professional, explaining every step of the way exactly what she would be doing. Very reassuring and a credit to the company. I got a immediate reaction as soon as it was completed and would have no hesitation in recommending your company and especially Faye

Attended clinic with blockage in my ears and severe hearing loss. Leena explained the procedure very well, can’t believe the results within 20min. Full hearing restored, would highly recommend. James Scott
