We order hearing aids from the manufacturers as required in order for you to get the full manufacturer’s warranty period. Behind the ear, receiver in the canal and instant fit in the ear hearing aids will normally arrive into stock within 2 to 3 days, and we will then dispatch them to you by Special Delivery. If you have an audiogram taken within the last 6 months we will program the hearing aids to your audiogram with the manufacturer’s defaults at your request. For RIC hearing instruments you will need to provide us with the receiver strength, wire length and dome size and type. Custom-made instruments require ear impressions and an up-to-date audogram taken within the last 6 months. If you supply us with both we will order your hearing aids for you. However, we recommend that you book a hearing test appointment at one of our convenient clinics where we will carry out an up-to-date, accurate audiogram and take impressions so that your custom-made hearing aids will fit you perfectly. Lead time on custom instruments is typically one to two weeks, depending on how busy the manufacturer is at the time of ordering. Once we receive your hearing aids from the manufacturer, we will contact you to arrange a fitting appointment at one of our convenient hearing clinics.
